Heavy Rain and High Waves for Nova Scotia

Posted by on Thursday, April 7, 2016

The same low responsible for bringing heavy rain to central Ontario, eastern Ontario, and Quebec will  continue to bring heavy rain across the Maritimes today before coming to an end this evening.

Precipitation began as snow initially over most areas until temperatures warmed up.

By the time the rain ends some areas may receive as much as 50 mm of rain.

At the same time, higher then normal tides are likely over the Bay of Fundy and the parts of the Southwest Coast of Nova Scotia over the next few days. Wave heights of 4 to 6 metres are possible.
