Heavy Rain and Funnel Cloud Risk Across SK & MB

Grey White Clouds
Showers and thunderstorms will continue across the eastern Prairies this morning with 5 to 15 mm of rain by tomorrow morning. Some areas could see 30 mm.

Although severe thunderstorms are unlikely today, funnel clouds are possible in west central Saskatchewan.

Funnel clouds will be possible once again tomorrow in southeast Saskatchewan and southern Manitoba.

We cannot rule out the possibility of a landspout tornado.

Remember, a funnel cloud is a funnel-shaped cloud associated with a rotating column of wind that extends from the base of a cumulonimbus or towering cumulus cloud but does not touch the ground or a water surface.

A landspout is a tornado not associated with the mesocyclone of a thunderstorm.
