Heavy Ice Accretion and Flooding Rain

Parts of the province are in for a soaking, while some others will have an ice event.

A disturbance that is bringing rain to parts of the U.S. Northeast and the Maritime Provinces will push northward today and arrive in Newfoundland tonight and last through Friday.

Rain begins on the west coast around 6 pm this evening. Tomorrow morning rain is expected to change over to freezing rain along parts of the west coast, central, and potentially on the northern Avalon as well.
