Heat continues for SK, MB, & ON

The heat continues in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northern Ontario.

For Saskatchewna the hot conditions will continue with highs in the mid thirties across much of the southern part of the province. Humidex values will be just below 40.

A strong cold front is forecast to push across Southern Saskatchewan Saturday which will bring a threat of severe thunderstorms followed by cooler weather for the weekend into next week.

The heat will continue in Manitoba into the weekend. Temperatures in the mid 30's and humidex values in the low-to-mid 40's. The heat and humidity will continue into Saturday at which time a cold front is forecast to sweep through Southern Manitoba, along with an attendant risk of severe thunderstorms.

The heat will remain for northern Ontario until late on Saturday. Humidex values will be in the mid to high thirties.

Watch for symptoms of heat illness, which include
- dizziness or fainting, nausea or vomiting
- headache
- rapid breathing and heartbeat
- extreme thirst and
- decreased urination with unusually dark yellow urine
