Heads Up Atlantic Canada, Snow, Rain, and Strong Wind on The Way

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Saturday, December 1, 2018

A large area of low pressure will move toward Atlantic Canada on Sunday night and Monday.

The system is expected to bring snow, freezing rain, ice pellets, rain, and strong wind.

Most areas will not see much in the way of snowfall accumulation. The heaviest snow will fall over northern Newfoundland.

Rain will be the more prevalent form of precipitation. The heaviest rain will fall over mainland Nova Scotia.

Strong winds are likely over Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland.

The ferry schedule from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland may be impacted.

Conditions improve on Tuesday night.
