GTA Storm Winds Down, But it Gets Worse

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Tuesday, January 29, 2019

A winter storm caused several accidents and a headache for commuters in the Greater Toronto Area.

The storm is capable of dropping 15 to 25 cm of snow in Toronto.

As Tuesday morning trudges on, we will continue to experience snow, which may be heavy at times, and blowing snow.

Commuters this morning should allow some extra time to get to work.

Extra TTC staff were working overnight to monitor signals and tracks.

It will only get worse as the storm ends. Overnight lows are expected to dip to minus 20 on Tuesday night with a wind chill of minus 30.
