Good News From Fort McMurray

There is some good news coming out of Fort McMurray this morning. 90 Percent of buildings are still standing following the massive wildfire according to official's.

In total 2400 building have been lost and emergency crews have managed to save 25,000.

Earlier today members of the media were loaded onto a bus and were escorted by emergency vehicles into the city.
It is not all good news however, some buildings and a lot of forest wasn't so lucky. There is extensive damage in some locations.

Fort McMurray evacuees are invited to join Alberta Premier Rachel Notley for a telephone town hall over the next four nights.

The Prairie Provinces are thirsty for rain, the region had a very dry Winter which will make for an extreme fire season.
