A new report released by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) states that global warming can still be kept to 1.5 degrees Celsius.

As humans we can still stop some of the consequences of climate change.

In order for that to happen carbon dioxide emissions would need to cut by 2030.

Carbon dioxide emissions would need to be cut in half. Also we would need to almost eliminate greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

This would require a global effort.

If we fail to meet these targets we will see sea level rise by almost 2 meters, massive crop loss and near eradication of coral reefs.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is an intergovernmental body of the United Nations, dedicated to providing the world with an objective, scientific view of climate change and its political and economic impacts.
