Geologists have uncovered a stunning find right here in Canada.

There are traces of the Earth's crust in the Canadian Shield that is 4.3 billion years old.

The Earth's crust is usually found deep below the surface.

The crust of the Earth is composed of a great variety of igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks. The crust is underlain by the mantle. 

The crust of the Earth is of two distinctive types: oceanic and continental.
