Fog leaves Iqaluit grocery shelves empty

(Photo from TNorrisYEG on Twitter... This is the result of flights not getting into Iqaluit for a week.)

Residents in Iqaluit are dealing with empty produce shelves due to an extended period of fog delaying flights and ice in the bay preventing boast from making it to port.

It has been foggy in Iqaluit for days now, and it is expected to continue for the next couple of days.

Residents in Canada's northern territories normally pay very high prices for things compared to those living in the provinces.

There are no roads into Nunavut so the only way in is either by boat of by aircraft.
