Flu Shot Clinics Start October 23

Posted by on Wednesday, October 11, 2017

The province of Newfoundland and Labrador will be providing free flu vaccination clinics beginning on Monday, October 23.

Flu shots will be available at health clinics and also from a pharmacy.

John Haggie, Minister of Health and Community Services, said, "the seasonal flu vaccine remains available to everyone in the province. We all have a responsibility to keep our families and communities healthy and safe. Talk to your community public health office, doctor, nurse or pharmacist about getting vaccinated this year. The vaccine is safe and I encourage everyone to get a flu shot.”

The government said that the best time to get vaccinated is from October to December.
