Flooding Rain Possible for Atlantic Canada

Posted by on Wednesday, October 19, 2016

It will be a wet weekend across Atlantic Canada.

A strong low pressure system will cross the region Friday and Saturday.

Heavy rain and strong wind is likely across the region.

The low will also be accompanied by a strong cold front which will bring temperatures down on Monday.

The low coming from the Great Lakes won't be the only issue. Another low of a tropical nature will track northward over the next few days, this could cause even high rainfall amounts Friday night through Saturday.

Some localised flooding is possible. In the heaviest rain 50 to 100 mm of rain is possible.

Rain won't be the only issue, in Labrador precipitation can fall in the form of snow.
