An AirAsia X flight made an emergency landing at Perth Airport on Sunday after the Airbus A330-300 began shaking due to what the airline called a "technical issue."

The flight was heading to Malaysia from Perth.

The pilot identified a technical issue with the engine.

Passenger's describe hearing a loud bang around about an hour into the flight. Then the plane started to vibrate.
It is not clear what caused the issue with the jet's Rolls-Royce engines.

The pilot asked passengers to pray twice and passengers were told to hold "the brace position" for about two minutes during the landing. The landing ended up being smooth.

When the flight was over the pilot shook hands with everyone.

The plane turned around and landed safely at Perth Airport.
