Flight Hits Turbulence, Sends 24 to Hospital

A JetBlue Flight with the number 429 that was headed from Boston to Sacramento had to be diverted to Rapid City, South Dakota, at about 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The flight encountered severe turbulence that damaged the plane and sent 24 people to hospital.

Passengers claim that people were flying out of their seats and hitting the ceiling.

There was severe weather in the area at the time.

JetBlue sent a replacement aircraft to take the remaining passengers to Sacramento.
