Flash Flooding Leaves 30 Dead, 7 Missing

Heavy rain moved through northwestern Iran on Friday and triggered flash flooding across the region.

Authorities deployed rescue teams to the northwestern province of eastern Azarbaijan. Seven people are missing from the cities of Ajab Shir and Azarshahr.

At least 30 are dead and at least five have been injured.

1150 people required assistance in local villages and cities.
