There were no injuries after a major fire ripped through a Toronto recycling plant.

Firefighters were on the scene all day on the waterfront after massive blaze broke out in a recycling facility in the Port Lands early on Thursday.

When firefighters arrive on the scene the blaze was a 6-alarm. Alarm levels are categorized in a fire department based on how many fire apparatuses respond to each alarm level, etc.

By 8:50 a.m., the blaze had been downgraded to a two-alarm status and the fire was largely out by midday, with the exception of a few hot spots.
