Fiji Region Shook with Major Earthquake

Just before 8:00 am on Sunday morning there was an earthquake in the Fiji region.

Registering a 6.2 on the Richter scale, the earthquake actually didn't cause any damage and there was no tsunami threat. 

It was at a depth of 579 km and was centered 379.0 km west of Haveluloto, Tonga.

The area is frequented by earthquakes.
