Features to Watch out for This Week

Posted by on Wednesday, February 22, 2017

There are couple of features to watch out for this week.

The first will be tonight. This low will pass offshore. The precipitation will be very close to the coast. There is the possibility of freezing rain along the southeastern and eastern Avalon.
A secondary area of low pressure will pass over Newfoundland on Friday. This low will bring a rain and snow mix to the Island. Snow is likely for the Great Northern Peninsula. Rain mixed with snow is likely for the west coast. We will probably see rain for central Newfoundland and the Avalon.
We will need to monitor this low for amounts.
