Frigid weather has been gripping much of Europe over the past few days.

At least 20 people have died from the extreme cold. Ten of those died on Sunday in Poland. In total 65 people have died from cold weather since November.

Others have died in Italy, the Czech Republic, Russia and Ukraine.

The cold weather has forced flight cancellations and transportation issues.

In parts of Russia, temperatures have dropped below -40°C. Moscow experienced the coldest Orthodox Christmas in 120 years.
