Some improvement is expected later in the weekend.

In northern Ontario, the cold air will remain through the weekend at least. Wind chill values near minus 45 are expected.

The wind chill will reach values between minus 38 and minus 49 overnight Friday night in southern Quebec and the cold will linger to Monday at least.

In Labrador, wind chills of -45 to -48 are expected this morning.
