Extreme Cold Continues Grip Over Most of Canada

The extreme cold weather continues on Today and Friday.

The jet stream will sink southward, south of the Great Lakes this weekend.

Portions of Northern Ontario will have wind chill values of minus 40 to minus 45. Portions of central and Eastern Ontario will likely have wind chill values of minus 30 to 35. In Southern Ontario expect wind chills of 35 or below.

In Quebec wind chill values could bottom out at minus 45.

Across Alberta and parts of Saskatchewan, while chill values of minus 40 are expected to persist through the weekend.

Although below warning criteria, the cold Arctic air in invading the Maritime provinces also.
