EC Says Tornado in Manitoba

Environment and Climate Change Canada have confirmed a tornado in Manitoba.

On Friday thunderstorms originated over east central Saskatchewan then quickly transitioned into a line of thunderstorms as they tracked into the Parklands area of Manitoba Friday afternoon.

Hail ranged in size from nickels to eggs. In addition wind gusts to of 87 km/h and 93 km/h were reported at the Winnipeg International Airport and Victoria Beach respectively. 

A tornado was reported at approximately 8:40 pm CST east of Alonsa and south of Silver Ridge. The tornado did extensive damage to at least one home which was lifted off it's foundation.
