Eastern Newfoundland woke up this morning to snow. Old Man Winter returned to try our patience once again.

Wx Centre Meteorologist James Follett said that 7 cm of snow fell in the St. John's area.

And while some schools on the Baccalieu Trail had some delayed openings, by noon it looked as though nothing had happened with most of the snow that fell overnight was gone.

As of 12:30 pm the temperature had soared to 5.4°C in St. John's with a high of 10°C expected today.

Also of note was Gander. Accordind to "GanderWeatherRecords" on Twitter, today is Gander's deepest snow depth on April 24th since records began in 1955 with 86 cm of snow cover.
