Disturbance for Wednesday

Posted by on Monday, January 9, 2017

A mess of weather is on the way to Newfoundland Wednesday into Thursday.

Precipitation will begin across Labrador in the early morning hours of Wednesday. From there, snow will advance on to the West Coast of Newfoundland by Wednesday afternoon.

Snow will quickly change over to rain with the potential for a rain-snow mix for western and Central Newfoundland, the Avalon may receive some showers but no significant impacts are expected.

The low will be accompanied by some gusty winds as well.

There is the possibility of about 5 centimeters of snow on the west coast of Newfoundland and rainfall amounts of about 5 millimeters.
