Death Toll From Camp Fire Rises to 48

The death toll from the Camp Fire in California is at 48.

This makes it the deadliest fire in California’s history.

Authorities say that there are still about 100 people missing.

So far 8,800 structures have been destroyed and over 15,000 structures remain threatened.

On Monday crews made progress holding the fire back.

A state of emergency was declared in Butte County.

U.S. President Donald Trump approved California's Emergency Declaration, allowing federal assistance to be open to the state due to the wildfires.
