Daylight Saving Time Ends This Weekend

Canada change clocks for 2015 daylight saving time
Daylight saving time ends on Sunday at 2:00 am local time.

Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour earlier on Nov 5, 2017 than the day before. There will be more light in the morning.

Previously, Canada had observed Daylight Saving Time from the first Sunday in April until the last Sunday in October.

Enjoy that extra hour of sleep.

This change in Daylight Saving Time kept Canada's Daylight Saving Time pattern consistent with the United States.

Some areas of Canada not using Daylight Saving Time include, Fort St. John, Charlie Lake, Taylor and Dawson Creek in British Columbia, Creston in the East Kootenays, and most of Saskatchewan (except Denare Beach and Creighton).

This is typically a good time to test your smoke and carbon-dioxide detectors.
