Crews are getting a handle on the fire dubbed Parry Sound 33.

An change in wind direction and better weather conditions are helping get the fire under control.

However, the blaze is bigger than originally thought.

Smoke continue to be a concern. Possible high levels of air pollution due to smoke from forest fires is likely over the next few days.

Air quality and visibility may deteriorate if the smoke descends to ground level.

As of Thursday the fire was 11,039 hectares in size.
