Dew Drops of Water on Blue Surface
This weekend could end up being a wet one as a large area of low pressure will move over Newfoundland as early as Saturday afternoon.

The low will be accompanied by heavy rain and strong winds which will last a couple days.

Some models are hinting at the possibility of over 100 millimeters of rain for portions of the South Coast. However, these numbers are only preliminary.

There is also the possibility of a freezing rain event for the northern Peninsula and portions of Southeastern Labrador. Other areas of Labrador can expect to see rain, snow, and ice pellets.

We are still working out the fine details and are continuing to monitor the development of this system.

Keep checking back for details.
