Colorado Low to bring snow to MB & ON

Posted by on Tuesday, December 15, 2015

A Colorado Low will sweep across southern Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario beginning tonight.

In Manitoba the hardest hit areas will likely be Pilot Mound through Winnipeg towards Bissett. In this area 10-15 cm of snow is possible by Wednesday night.

Also on Wednesday the low will usher in gusty northwesterly winds causing reduced visibility and blowing snow.
In Northwestern Ontario snow begins Overnight into Wednesday.

The low is expected to spread an area of snow into the area. Most areas may see 5 to 15 cm into Thursday.

A Colorado low is a low pressure that forms in southeastern Colorado or northeastern New Mexico, typically in the winter. After forming, the system moves across the Great Plains.
