Colorado Low Could Slam Prairies

Posted by on Monday, November 14, 2016

Weather models are still trending with the likelihood of parts of the Prairies seeing a significant Colorado low on Friday.

The low will bring the first accumulating snow to parts of the Northern Plains and the Great Lakes in the United States.

In Manitoba, some snow or rain is likely for southern sections at this point. Northwestern Ontario has a higher possibility of seeing snow. High winds may accompany the snow in some areas creating dangerous driving conditions.

The biggest issue with the models the exact track. With some models trending far north while some others keep it south.

Should it stay south it would miss much of southern Manitoba.

We are continuing to watch this situation closely.
