Climate Change Impacting Glaciers

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Thursday, December 20, 2018

While glaciers normally move slowly it seems as though climate change has slowed Asian glaciers.

As a result there is less freshwater in Pakistan India, and China.

As glaciers thin and lose mass, they slow down.

The study, led by NASA indicates that the movement of Asia's high glaciers is being slowed by ice loss.

Glacial ice can range in age from several hundred to several hundreds of thousands years, making it valuable for climate research.
