If climate change continues to alter global weather patterns we could be paying more for air travel.

Daniel Scott, a climate professor at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, said that we should be expecting more flight delays and cancellations from freak weather events.

Planes would have to be rerouted more often to avoid severe weather.

He also said that planes will need to be de-iced more often, increasing costs.

It was just last week that there was a heat wave in Arizona that grounded flights.
