Classic Fall Storm to Slam Eastern Canada

A large area of low pressure will descend over the Maritime provinces tonight.

The low will bring strong wind and heavy rain to all three Maritime provinces, southern Quebec, and eastern Ontario.
Winds in some areas will gust over 100 km/h.

Rainfall amounts in eastern Ontario may top 100 mm, in southern Quebec 50 to 70 millimetres is expected over some areas. Amounts near 90 millimetres are possible over higher elevations north of the St Lawrence Valley.

20 mm is possible over the Maritme provinces.

In Newfoundland the wind will arrive on Monday night. Winds in some areas will gust over 100 km/h.

Rainfall amounts of 20 mm is possible along the south coast with lesser amounts for the remainder of the Island.
