Canadians Stranded After Irma Rips Through

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Tuesday, September 12, 2017

There is growing frustration for Canadians stranded in St. Maarten.

Families say that they feel as though they have been “abandoned” by the Federal Government.

For stranded Americans, there are both military and charter airplanes taking people out of the heavily damaged area.

Canadians are advised to visit a government website with a list of shelters.

However, food supplies are running low.

Some families said a few Canadians were able to leave on a Sunday flight.

Cell hone and internet service has been impacted.

There were still 95 Canadians stranded in Turks and Caicos until yesterday.
