An investigation is ongoing after a Canadian Pacific Railway freight train derailed southeast of Saskatoon.

On Friday morning about 40 rail cars piled up near the tiny community of Blucher.

The train was carrying potash. Potash is any of various mined and manufactured salts that contain potassium in water-soluble form.

There were no injuries.

There is no immediate word on the cause of the derailment.
