Canada Pledges $2M in Aid for Haiti

The Canadian Government has pledged an additional $2 million in aid for Haiti. This brings Canada's total to $6.08 million.

Hurricane Matthew has killed killed 1,000 people in Haiti and caused widespread destruction in most of the country.

Cholera has become rampant in rural communities.

The United Nations estimates that 1.4 million people across the country require assistance after Hurricane Matthew pummeled the region.

The UN humanitarian agency in Geneva is requesting $120 million in global aid for aid.
