BC Gets Smacked by Strong Winds

We had to check and make sure British Columbia didn't blow away.

On Monday a low pressure system moved onto the BC coast delivering very strong winds to coastal sections of the province. 

Below is a summary of maximum winds in km/h observed by Environment and Climate Change Canada:
  • Bonilla Island: 130 km/h
  • Sandspit Airport: 119 km/h
  • Cumshewa Island: 126 km/h
  • Cape Scott: 92 km/h
  • Sartine Island: 157 km/h
  • Quatsino Lightstation: 83 km/h
  • Solander Island: 141 km/h
  • Estevan Point: 102 km/h
  • Lennard Lightstation: 78 km/h
  • Cape Beale Lightstation: 100 km/h
  • Pachena Point Lightstation: 83 km/h
  • Carmanah Lightstation: 83 km/h
  • Sandheads: 85 km/h
