Some areas of Canada may see the aurora borealis this weekend.

Earth will encounter a Coronal Hole High Speed Stream. A Coronal Hole High Speed Stream arrives slowly with first a steady increase in the solar wind density over the course of a couple of hours.

This increase of the solar wind density occurs because the faster solar wind bunches up the slower solar wind particles in front of it.

This weekend the Polar region is expected to be quiet with active intervals. Auroral areas will be unsettled with active intervals. The Sub-auroral region will be quiet.

There are no impacts expected.
