The Atlantic Hurricane Season officially kicked off on Thursday and it appears as though we may be seeing some development.

There is an area of low pressure over the Gulf of Mexico that we will need to watch for possible development this weekend.

This area is water temperatures that are typically conductive for development.

Should we see any development, it may involve a remnant low in the Pacific.

Even if the storm does not fully materialize into a tropical storm, we will see heavy rain and flash flooding in Gulf Coast states next week.
