Atlantic Hurricane Season Is Far From Over

After a busy September so far in the Atlantic basin, things are once again quiet...

Having said that, Atlantic Hurricane Season is far from over.

Over two months remain of the Atlantic Hurricane Season remain. There is still 40 percent of the season left.

Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30.

So far this year there have been ten named storms. Alberto, Beryl, Chris, Debby, Ernesto, Florence, Gordon, Helene, Isaac, and Joyce. The next named storm will be Kirk.

Mid-September is typically the most active part of Hurricane Season.
