Atlantic Canada Rain

In Quebec for the Eastern Townships, Richelieu Valley - Saint-Hyacinthe, and Vaudreuil - Soulanges - Huntingdon. Thunderstorms and showers today and overnight. Local rainfall amounts possibly exceeding 40 millimetres.

Heavy rain arrives tonight and continues into Monday for the Maritime provinces.

South and East New Brunswick may pick up as much as 30 to 40 millimetres.

On Prince Edward Island 25 to 50 mm is expected, western portions of the province will be the hardest hit.

For Nova Scotia total rainfall amounts of 40-60 mm is possible. The hardest hit areas will be southwestern regions, central regions and the Atlantic coastline.
For Newfoundland heavy rainfall is possible Monday into Tuesday. 

Rain is expected to begin over Southwestern Newfoundland early Monday morning and will spread eastward throughout the day. The South coast and eastern sections including us on the Avalon will receive rainfall amounts of 25 mm, lesser amounts are likely for central and the west coast before the rain tapers off later on Tuesday.
