Posted by on Monday, April 4, 2016

It was on April 3 and 4 back in 1974 that we remember the super outbreak. The day goes down in history as one of the worst tornado outbreaks in history.

The outbreak spawned 148 tornadoes and hammered 13 states between the Great Lakes and the Deep South.

There were 335 deaths and over 6,000 injuries, according to the National Weather Service.

Many remember the April 2011 Tornado Outbreak. The 2011 Super Outbreak was the largest, costliest, and one of the deadliest tornado outbreaks ever recorded, affecting the Southern, Midwestern, and Northeastern United States and leaving catastrophic destruction in its wake.
