Another Weather System on the way for Atlantic Canadians

Posted by Kyle Brookings on Monday, March 4, 2019

A low pressure system currently centered over southern Quebec will bring a vast array of severe weather conditions to Atlantic Canada.

It all gets going this morning and will continue through Tuesday evening depending on your location.

Snow begins across southern Nova Scotia and New Brunswick early this morning. Across Nova Scotia and eastern Prince Edward Island snow will change to ice pellets and then rain by early evening.

Snow arrives in southwestern Newfoundland Monday afternoon and will spread to the entirety of the Island by midnight on Monday night. Snow will change to ice pellets overnight in western and central Newfoundland. For the Avalon, snow will change to ice pellets or freezing rain. Some parts of the Island may also see some rain, amounts will be minimal.

Labrador will see snow, amounts won't be too high.
