An area of low pressure will develop across the southeastern United States.

The low will track northeastward and have an impact on Atlantic Canada.

New Brunswick will pick up snow. About 10 to 15 cm is possible.

A rain-snow mix is likely across Prince Edward Island.

On Tuesday evening rain will spread across Nova Scotia delivering about 10 to 20 mm across the province.

As the low moves toward Newfoundland on Tuesday night it will bring a mix of weather to the Island. Snow is likely over western Newfoundland and the Great Northern Peninsula, 20 to 30 cm is possible. Some rain or a rain-snow mix is likely in central Newfoundland.

The Avalon may escape the low, however, there is a quick moving system that will bring rain and snow to Newfoundland on Tuesday.
