Another Rain Snow Shot for Atlantic Canada

An area of low pressure that is presently delivering mixed precipitation to the Maritime Provinces will also have an impact on Newfoundland.

Western Nova Scotia will see a rain-snow mix this morning as the same area of rain and snow pushes out of New Brunswick. That mixed line will move eastward as the day progresses. Southern parts of the province will remain as rain.

Prince Edward Island will transition to an extended period of snow today.

In Newfoundland the Avalon and South Coast will see rain. Central will see a mix of ice pellets, rain, and snow. The West Coast and Northern Peninsula will remain as snow.

Labrador will see some accumulating snow in southeastern and coastal sections.

Flurries and sea-effect snow will continue on the West Coast of Newfoundland on Saturday.
