Prolonged heat continues across Saskatchewan, Alberta, and the Northwest Territories.

Temperatures will be lower in some areas today. However, above seasonal temperatures will remain through the weekend for most areas.

There is also a risk of thunderstorms across most of the Prairies today.

Friday High's
  • Winnipeg 30°C
  • Regina 27°C
  • Saskatoon 28°C
  • Calgary 24°C
  • Edmonton 25°C
  • Fort McMurray 30°C
  • Yellowknife 26°C
When outside in hot weather consider rescheduling outdoor activities to cooler hours of the day, take frequent breaks from the heat, drink plenty of water and other non-alcoholic, non-caffeinated beverages to stay hydrated, and do not leave any person or pet inside a closed vehicle, for any length of time.
