Another active day across the States

Posted by on Saturday, February 6, 2016

High winds will continue to be an issue over portions of the northern Rockies to the northern plains, where wind gusts in excess of 100 km/h are possible on Sunday.

Simultaneously over the Upper Midwest throughout Sunday morning snow may combine with wind gusts in excess of 80 km/h to produce blizzard conditions for some areas. Over the northern plains and Upper Midwest 5 to 10 cm are possible.

From there the system will move across the Great Lakes Sunday and Sunday night, with a mix of rain and snow possible farther south across the Ohio valley, Appalachians, and the Tennessee valley.
