A happy ending to a rescue that has captured the attention of the world.

For more than two weeks 12 soccer players and their coach were trapped in the Tham Luang cave complex in northern Thailand.

After a three day rescue effort all 13 are safely out of the complex.

They are in hospital where they will receive medical attention.

When the final ones came out there were cheers from the crowd. Among the crowd were volunteers, family members, government officials, and journalists.

One death occurred during the rescue: Saman Kunan, a 38-year-old former Thai SEAL, asphyxiated on 5 July while attempting to return to the cave entrance after delivering supplies of air to the interior.
