Air Canada Flight Narrowly Avoids Disaster

There were some tense moments on a runway at the San Francisco Airport involving an Air Canada plane.

On Friday night, Air Canada Flight 759 from Toronto to San Francisco was cleared to land on runway 28R.

The pilot however, lined up with taxiway C, which runs parallel to the runway.

Air Traffic sent the jet around.

On taxiway C there were four other planes lined up. Had the Air Canada pilot not noticed, it could have hit the four other planes which were loaded with fuel and people.

There is an investigation ongoing by both the Federal Aviation Administration and Air Canada.
