What was once Hurricane Matthew unleashed deadly wind, flooding rain, and inundating storm surge.

Matthew formed September 28, 2016 and affected the Lesser Antilles, Venezuela, Colombia, Jamaica, Hispaniola, Cuba, Lucayan Archipelago, and the Southeastern United States.

The storm has killed at least 925 people, most of which are from Haiti.

Damages total at least $5 billion so far.

Although nothing official has been announced, with all the damage and death caused by Matthew it is likely that the name will be retired.
